Overview
Due to continued success and recent expansion, we are looking to recruit a Junior/Trainee Inspector with industry experience in a subcontracting environment to join our team. This role will be based in our newly refurbished factory working alongside our Senior Inspector. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated candidate to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in quality assurance and inspection within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Conduct inspections of products and processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Analyse data from inspections and tests to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Document inspection results and prepare reports for management review.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of quality assurance practices and regulations.
- Carry out First Off, Goods Inward, and Final Inspection to customer drawings and specifications
- Support all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with ISO9001.
- Inspecting machined and fabricated components using verniers, thread gauges, micrometres etc.
- Raise Nonconformance records where necessary.
- Maintaining a clear workstation.
- Packing finished components.
Requirements
- A keen interest in quality assurance and product inspection.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Industry experience in a subcontracting environment; a familiarity with machining or fabrication processes.
- Understand and interpret technical drawings.
- Good work ethic: you’ll have demonstrated reliability, proactivity and loyalty in previous positions
- Organised; the ability to multitask.
- Previous experience using Microsoft office software.
